Use this page to turn on the translation tool for multiple students.
Students can use the tool to translate any on-screen HTML text, including third-party websites and our own instructional and assessment content. While they won’t be able to translate the audio files, they can translate any text on the screen including eNotes, online content links, close reading passages, and transcripts. If students translate text into Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Arabic, they can also hear the translation read aloud in that language, or in English.
The World Languages courses are the only courses that cannot be translated using our tool, as this would largely reduce the efficacy of language learning courses.

Yes, if students have both the translation tool and the text-to-speech tool enabled, they can use both of them for any text on screen. The languages that can be read-aloud are: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Arabic.

- Under More and Update Student Options, click Text Translation.
Your action bar may look different based on your permissions.
- Select the radio button to Enable or Disable Text Translation for the students.
- Click Save.
- A confirmation screen will show the change was made successfully. Click OK.
If Disabled was selected, then the confirmation page will say "Disabled."
