Frequently Asked Questions:
No, Guided Notes are only available within the new Student Experience. Encourage your school or district leaders to transition to the new experience earlier than the September 1 deadline so students can take advantage of this great new resource for your summer school sessions!
This Help Center article provides detailed information regarding what your leaders need to do to enable the new Student Experience.
Which libraries have Guided Notes?
The current list of courses with Guided Notes can be found here.
What is the difference between the student and teacher versions?
Teacher versions contain answer keys to support the verification of notes students take during the lesson.
Are Guided Notes available as editable text documents?
No, Guided Notes were designed as printables and as such, they are only available as PDF documents. However, if you use software designed to write on PDFs, it may work with these documents. We don't complete extensive testing on third-party software like this, so we cannot guarantee it will work.
If I customize a course, will the Guided Notes follow?
Yes! The Guided Notes are attached to that lesson so wherever that lesson is placed, the Guided Notes will follow.
Is there a way to print all the Guided Notes for a course at once?
No. Due to the customizations that are done frequently to a course, the Guided Notes are tied to the lesson, not the course. Each one will need to be printed individually.
Will students be able to access their Guided Notes when taking an assessment?
Guided Notes are to be downloaded, printed, and then filled in by students. Since they are in hard-copy form, it will be up to the teacher in the classroom as to whether or not students can use them on an assessment.
How do students access the Guided Notes?
Within the Course Map, a student should expand the lesson name menu to find the Guided Notes for that lesson.
